Gynecological Surgery Incisions

Vertical/Midline:  This is an up and down incision from the pubic hair to the umbilicus (belly button).  This may need to be extended above the umbilicus.

Pfannensteil:  This incision goes across the lower abdomen just above the pubic hair similar to the incision used for a cesarean section.
